Latin America is a region in the Western Hemisphere, south of the United States. The time period Latin America is used to describe the nations in South America, Middle America, and the Caribbean that talk Latin languages, also called the “Romance languages.” These languages embrace Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Latin America extends from Mexico in North America and down by way of Central America, components of the Caribbean and all of South America right down to the underside of the continent. While it’s a very diverse region, the people of these international locations share related historic experiences, languages and cultures.
