Next, I walked up a flight of stairs to verify out St. Paul’s Church, another historical site near the A Famosa. There were no tourists armed with cameras, and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to queue or squeeze around to pay my respects. I caught wind of the revised opening hours from one of many store owners on Jonker Walk, and was relieved to make it there earlier than it closed for the day. I was stunned that the cafe was full even on a Friday afternoon, and there were at least two teams of people ready to get a seat. Just as I entered Jonker Walk, I immediately caught sight of outlets that were not open for business. I decided to go visit the vacationer spots, to get a way of how a lot has really changed.
